From mid-September through the end of October, Penn State units at campuses across the commonwealth will be holding events in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month. The unifying theme for this year’s observances is “Nuestra Música (Our Music): Identity, Culture and Resistance."
Mont Alto's spring 2021 Race, Equity, and Action series programming will conclude with a discussion about race and racism with New York Times bestselling author Ijeoma Oluo.

The Penn State Mont Alto Chorale will perform two holiday concerts, titled "Comfort and Joy," featuring songs of the season under the direction of Fred Davison, Penn State Mont Alto instructor in music, on Dec. 8 and 10. The concerts are open to the public and free of charge.
Comedian Shawn Felipe will perform at Penn State Mont Alto at 7 p.m. on Sept. 12 in the Wiestling Student Center. The show is open to the public and free of charge. Members of the community can park in the lot across from the Multipurpose Athletics Center on campus. Some handicap parking is available behind Wiestling.
Penn State Mont Alto theater students performed two original, educational puppet shows about saving the rain forest at the invitation of First Lady of Pennsylvania Frances Wolf, during the annual Earth Day Celebration at the governor’s residence on April 22.
The Penn State Mont Alto Chorale will host its fifth annual Choral Festival on May 4 in the Multipurpose Activities Center during a grand evening of choral musical performances. The Chorale will be joined by five other local schools, totaling about 185 student voices.
The Penn State Mont Alto Chorale will perform “Music from the Stage and Screen, Take Three,” from 7 to 8 p.m. on April 28 in the General Studies Auditorium. The performance will feature songs from award-winning musicals and a couple classic pop songs. The Chorale will also acknowledge the 80th anniversary of "The Wizard of Oz" with a beautiful arrangement of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."
